Leeanne Panday

Leeanne Panday-Naicker comes from humble beginnings, she was born and raised in a small town, distinguished by its vast array of sugar cane plantations, in southern Kwa-Zulu Natal, where she completed her schooling. Inspired and motivated by her hard-working parents, she made the decision to relocate to Johannesburg to pursue her personal and professional ambitions.

She began her career in the IT industry during her initial years working at Punters Friend for the Citizen newspaper under Perskor and moved on to become the secretary to the GM of IT/IS. As an IT fledgling, she saw the potential for growth and development and began to empower herself on various technology platforms eventually becoming a Microsoft Certified Engineer and moved on to manage the IT Service Centre at Ericsson South Africa.

Working for a multinational organization gave her the opportunities to travel extensively for work purposes and she swiftly moved into a leadership role that led to her managing projects in other countries and leading a flagship project that placed the Ericsson Market Unit as a leader in Knowledge Management and Resource Development globally. Her program and project achievements where recognized on a MU and global level during her role as Head of Operational Development at Ericsson MU Sub-Saharan Africa. Her tenure at Ericsson led her to Hewlett Packard during which she managed the transition of all non-core business functions over to HP services.

Her Financial industry experience includes Nedbank where she was appointed to manage the Microsoft SQL team in South Africa responsible for all SQL platforms and related projects within the business. She returned to the ICT sector when she accepted the Senior Portfolio Manager appointment at Neotel working on all technology programs related to the portfolio of the Chief Network Officer. During this period, she also supported management with the development of the project management office and went on to become PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certified. Due to a sudden change in personal affairs, she took time off from the corporate environment for a few years. During this period, she exploited her entrepreneurial skills and launched her own small online business focusing on importing and retailing of designer fashion, which was a departure from her professional career yet allowing her to explore her creative ingenuity.

Leeanne then gratefully accepted the opportunity to join the budding Talis Group as the Change Management Lead and swiftly moved on to head Projects and Change Management in Strategic Innovation where she is the driving force behind the advancement of the project office and is key to managing the success & quality of all projects secured by the business.

She is a pillar of support in her family; dedicated mother and wife; an animal rights advocate; is committed to community upliftment, youth and women empowerment; education transformation and helping others. She aspires to live her life befitting the words of the legendary Mathma Gandhi: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
